Produce Your Own Clean Save The Environment
The MNRE Rooftop Solar Scheme (PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana) is a government initiative by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy that promotes residential rooftop solar installations across India. It offers financial assistance (subsidy) to homeowners who install grid-connected solar systems, helping them generate free or low-cost electricity while reducing their power bills and carbon footprint. The scheme applies only to residential consumers and provides higher subsidy rates for systems up to 3 kW capacity. Running until at least March 2027, it supports India’s mission toward sustainable, affordable, and eco-friendly energy for all
- Use PF-corrected LED lighting (PF > 0.9) to lower your electricity use.
- Replace desktops (200–350 W) with laptops (70–130 W)—save ~183 units per year per device.
- Unplug idle electronics to avoid “phantom” energy drain.

30% Subsidy for Solar System
30% subsidy on solar system MEDA (Maharashtra Energy Development Agency, Pune) in its latest circular declared that now user can get “30% Subsidy” on solar electricity system! The Maharashtra State Nodal Agency has started online application acceptance process via its website: https://www.mahaurja.com As per the latest circular, the MEDA has announced a capital subsidy of Rs. 18,300/- per KWp of solar grid tied system for all non-commercial facilities. Following are the facilities will be benefited by this policy:
- Residence owners
- Co-op. Housing Societies
- Schools
- Health institutions including medical college & hospitals
- Universities, educational institutions etc.
- NGO’s, Trusts etc.
The subsidy is strictly on first come – first serve basis. Our view: Subsidy clearance process is very complicated. MEDA could have made the process simpler. But if our clients will get subsidy, we will definitely follow the process for our clients. This step will increase the awareness and acceptance of solar system. For any queries related to the subsidy process, kindly write to us. We would love to help you out.
Save Electricity by Ditching Desktop Computers
- Here’s our second tip on “How to save Electricity and Energy”. We suggest using PF (Power Factor) corrected LED lights instead of any other light like CFL etc.
- Before purchasing any LED lights, check the PF. Technically PF > 90% (PF > 0.9). Use “Made in India” lights for best result, service and long lift. If you want more details on how to select LED lights, then write a note to us and we will be happy to help you out.
Save Energy by PF corrected LED Lights
- Are you still using those old fashioned desktops? Do you know that desktop consumes power in the range of 200W to 350W depending upon its processor speed, screen type etc. Nature Light Solutions strongly suggests you to sell out those power hungry desktops and switch to power saver laptops.
- Laptops consume electricity in the range of 70W to 130W per hour. Hence if you replace one 200W desktop with 100W laptop, and if you use your laptop 5 hours a day, then in an year you will save: (200W – 100W) * 5 * 365 = 1,82,500W ! Just by replacing one desktop, you can save around 183 units of electricity! If you are planning to get a desktop, think again. Get a laptop instead and Go-Green!!
